Our History
The Southern Sky Cheese Company Pty Ltd was founded by Rod Wyker, a crafter of fine cheese and dairy products. In part born of his love and passion for specialty dairy products, and Tasmanian produce.
Rod is a recognised leader and educator in specialty cheese and foods in Australia with a career spanning over thirty years. He has designed and implemented strategies for the development, production, and packaging of many of Australia’s leading speciality cheese brands.
Innovation in Fine Cheese
Securing a major supply opportunity into the Sydney CBD with his range of speciality cheese, and dairy products, is what led to the initial establishment of Southern Sky Cheese Company. Now, sharing the products locally and nationally is generating excitement and pride in our Tasmanian produce.
Rod, a Tasmanian, is a passionate and experienced dairy industry practitioner. After many years studying, training and implementing products and process for others, he now passionately strives to do the same with Southern Sky.
